About Us
The Civil Justice Foundation is a national not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to safeguarding the intrinsic constitutional rights afforded to all Americans by the civil justice system. This preservation of justice is achieved by strengthening the alliance between trial attorneys and consumer advocacy organizations and by promoting public awareness and education.
The Civil Justice Foundation was founded to promote, foster and stimulate the welfare of persons exposed to physical, emotional and/or economic injury or harm through the wrongful conduct of others. To achieve these objectives, the Foundation makes grants to not-for-profit organizations working in one or more of the following areas:
The Civil Justice Foundation awards grants to progressive grassroots consumer advocacy groups who share a common vision: consumer injury prevention, public safety protection, and constitutional right-to-trial preservation for all Americans. Since its inception, CJF has awarded over $1.4 million to 112 consumer advocacy organizations throughout North America. By providing a voice to the voiceless, these pioneering groups seek to provoke systemic judicial and legislative change and protect the democratic ideals inherent in the civil justice system.
